The creative photographic pursuits of Kenneth P. Volpe

KEN'S HISTORY
Born beneath the sun ripened grapes in a family vineyard on the beautiful hills in northern Italy, Ken was the child of two loving Italian parents. Said parents had high hopes for little Kenny. Shortly after he took his first steps, they handed him his first camera, a Kodak instamatic with replaceable flashcubes. After discovering that the flashcubes were better at illuminating than at being digested, he sort of got the hang of it. Press button, blind mom and dad! Woohoo!! What fun!

After moving to the United States, Ken’s photographic works were first displayed in a fine art gallery exhibition at age 2, thus earning him a Pulitzer Prize and critical acclaim in the photographic community. Soon thereafter, after being abducted by the U.S. government at age 6 for his genius IQ, little Kenny was thrust into the world of espionage. He humbly admits his efforts were vital to the demise of the Cold War.
At age 16, he toyed with the development of cold fusion as a new energy source and, at age 21, played a vital role in the development of the space shuttle as well as the construction of the International Space Station. At 30, he fixed the problems of the Hubble Space Telescope, but alas, he still wasn't satisfied.

So, what was next for good ol' Ken?

It seems everything had gone full circle, because he found himself with a camera in his hand once again. And, it felt good.

He figured the modeling industry was in need of revamping and so it goes.....

Ken has devoted his current efforts to produce the most beautiful and artistic photographs of the female form found anywhere in the world.

IN HIS OWN WORDS..
The foregoing? Total BS. Had you going though! Haha!!

In truth..I am 42 years old and have been a photographer for about 20 years. I just have an eye for photography and beauty. With my photography, I strive to create a perfect balance of light and shadow cast across the beautifully delicate curves and shapes of the female form; to capture an image that can evoke powerful emotions in all who view it.

I am deeply moved by the beauty of the female form. Whether it is portraiture, or the dance of light over her form, highlighting the sensual curves of her body, I have charged myself with the task of working with talented models to produce these art forms.

I am drawn to create works of art that surpass the works of my respected peers and mentors. I believe in being the best I can be, striving to improve my skills and my body of work with each release of the shutter. I also make a point to present my images in a tasteful and respectful manner that highlights the absolutely astounding beauty of a woman.

My equipment is the best available. I shoot with a Canon 1Ds Mark II. This is the highest resolution digital single lens reflex camera on the market today. I use pro lenses ("L" Glass) exclusively and an extensive array of Profoto lighting equipment and modifiers.
